Sustainable development

Since 2011, STSP has compiled sustainability reports to disclose its governance structure and various management mechanisms, explain the relationship between operational policies and sustainable management, demonstrate to stakeholders its response and management capabilities in the face of various risks, and communicate its commitment to fulfilling social responsibility, environmental protection, and sustainable management, as well as the concrete results achieved. Since 2017, STSP has disclosed SDGs-related information, proactively aligning itself with international trends.
In response to the United Nations’ encouragement for countries to conduct regular reviews of sustainable development, Taiwan released its first Voluntary National Review (VNR) in 2017 and published its second VNR in 2022. The National Council for Sustainable Development has established the “Guidelines for Tracking and Managing Taiwan Sustainable Development Goals,” urging central ministries and local governments to conduct internal self-reviews and prepare Voluntary Departmental Reviews (VDRs) and Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs), respectively. Although STSP is not included in the tracking and management list of the National Council for Sustainable Development, it has actively responded to government policies by preparing Voluntary Departmental Reviews since 2023, disclosing to stakeholders its progress and specific goals in promoting the Taiwan Sustainable Development Goals (T-SDGs).
