Executive Yuan agreed to use Taiwan Sugar Corporation’s Luzhu farm and part of the Benchou farm as the expansion site for TSP.
Developing team of Luzhu Science Park (LSP) was established.
Rescue of the Beisanshe Historical Site by the Institute of History and Philology of the Academia Sinica had great achievement of recovering the historical remains from the black pottery culture 2500 to 3000 years ago.
