Outstanding Achievements of the Biomedical Industry in 2021

With a total revenue exceeding NT$60 million, five tenant enterprises including dentall, toShin, Quen Lin, ACRO, and
Biomate assisted Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital in building Taiwan’s first 3D printing medical device system and
Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital to develop a digital dental diagnosis system in Eastern Taiwan. The procurement for these two

systems paid by hospitals exceeded NT$33 million.

Biomedica Corporation was assisted in researching
and developing an artificial intelligence (AI) assisted
screening system for Osteoporosis that can be
incorporated into mobile x-ray vehicles to serve for
remote areas. The system is now used by Taipei
Municipal Wan Fang Hospital. Within six seconds, a
report on osteoporosis status can now be generated

as the initial diagnosis basis for physicians.

MEM Dental Technology CO., Ltd. was assisted
in introducing traditional manufacturing to AI
applied digital teeth alignment, making
it Taiwan’s first producer of self-
ligating braces that have been
successfully procured by

the medical community
and used for clinics and
training.
