Along with the development of Chiayi Science Park, and Phase III of Tainan Science Park, Ciaootu Science Park, and
Pingtung Science Park, the STSP has expanded the impact of its existing cluster by integrating local industrial innovation
and strengthening regional economic resilience to build itself into a “exceptional, high quality, energy saving and sustainable”

science park.

Ciaotou Science Park, “Kaohsiung’s Pioneer”

On December 24, 2021, President Tsai Ing-wen, along with
the Mayor of Kaohsiung, Chen Chi-mai, and 20 heavyweight
enterprises participated in the “Opening Ceremony and

Investment Invitation for Ciaotou Science Park”. This
ceremony of main route construction attracts the presence
of many industrial leaders, with an expected investment
amount of hundreds of billions of New Taiwan Dollars. President Tsai Ing-wen’s Attendance at the “Ground Breaking Ceremony
of Kaohsiung New Town #1-2 Route” (2021/12/24)

Public work and factories are scheduled
to begin construction in the end of
September, 2022 synchronously, and
are expected to create 11,000 jobs and
provide 163 hectares of industrial land for
prosperous industries and communities in

Southern Taiwan.
