2016 BIO International Convention, Selling the Fruits of Taiwan’s Biomedical Industry

The 2016 BIO International Convention was held from June 5 to 9 in the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The convention is an important
th
platform through which major medical suppliers can meet business partners. A total of 50 countries were represented at the convention,
and over 1,800 companies participated, attracting a total of around 16,000 people from 76 countries. Representatives from Taiwan attended
domestic academia-industry relation events, international exchanges, business exchanges, alliances, and result exchanges. The STSP’s Acro
Biomedical accepted an interview from New Tang Dynasty TV to display their biotech products.

Showcasing Taiwan’s Biotechnology Industry
under the Leadership of the STSP
“The Bio Taiwan 2016 Expo” was launched at the TWTC from July 21
to 24. The STSPB led nine Park enterprises to set up the STSP Bio
Pavilion at the expo, attracting the visits of domestic and international
channel members and enterprise representatives successfully
promoting the biotechnology industry at the STSP.

The STSP Shines at the Medical Fair Asia in Singapore
In order to help medical equipment producers enter the international

market, from August 30 to September 3 , the STSPB brought 10
companies to the 2016 Medical Fair Asia in Singapore, successfully
expanding sales of medical equipment, and raising the profile of the
STSP medical equipment. On the same trip, the STSP also visited
local distributors such as Lozon, South-Asia Biomedical Engineering,
Equip Medical, and Yeap Medical Supplies in order to help park
companies establish business channels, while simultaneously
promoting the quality of products from the park and providing
opportunities for cooperation, which would allow easy access to the
Southeast Asian market, with the hopes of international distribution.
