Startup Area and Services

Looking at the STSP’s achievements up until the end of 2016,the STSP has advised 91 startup teams, 16 of whom received the Exemplary
Innovation Award worth 2 million NTD, 39 were formally established, 6 became science industries, 8 entered the incubation center and 14 teams
received subsidies from the government.

73% of Teams Who Moved to the STSP for the 2016 FITI Competition Went on to be in the Top 10.

In the first group ,the STSP had 8 mentored teams reach the top 20 in 2016, 6 reached the top 10 and in the end, 2 teams received Innovation
Potential Awards and 4 received Outstanding Innovation Awards (2 million NTD). In the second group, 6 STSP teams made it to the top 20, 5
reached the top 10, and in the end, 3 teams received Innovation Potential Awards, and 2 received Outstanding Innovation Awards (2 million
NTD).

The STSP Teams Happily Shared the Fruits
of Their Innovation

The Power of New Industry, Spotlight on Southern
Taiwan-Annual Innovation Show chose teams who
received training at the STSP in the past 3 years to share
their innovative products. In total, there were 6 exciting
product runways including the Frontier Tech team’s
Roomie voice-controlled projector and Meet Tech’s multi-
function membranes, providing visitors with a veritable
visual array. In the future, the STSP will continue to
discover and train other outstanding teams from startups,
and form the core of Taiwan’s tech industry.
