Message by the Director-General

2017 was a meaningful year for the STSPB. Over the past 20 years, the STSPB
has been blessed to receive the help and support of many good friends, and we
appreciate that very much.
In the past year, our “innovative startups” have already yielded great results
based on the foundation set by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s “From
IP to IPO” program. At the same time, we promoted the four-year program of the
STSP AI Robot MakerSpace. Through the cultivation of international robot
competitions, we successfully led the participation schools under the senior high
and vocational high level in the robot field in order to lay the foundation for
future development.
Our “industrial clusters” are developed with continuous focus on smart
production. The big IC industrial leaders such as TSMC and Winbond
Electronics Corp. continuously increase their investment at the STSP, and
aerospace industrial, academic, research, and governmental resources are
integrated for stabilizing the development of industrial clusters.
For our “sustainable development,” the Resource Recycling Center was given the
2017 SCSR Award with a recognized silver level and a commendation of ‘Great
Honor’ in CSR Work. Our CSR earned a Green Renewable Company Award
from the British Standard Institution (BSI), the only winner from the public
sector.
The STSPB started organizing group wedding events in 2005, and has
now witnessed a total of 340 couples tying the knot. These young couples
joyfully built their businesses and families at the STSP, and their willingness
encourages us to work harder to build the STSP into a better place to live and
work.
In pursuit of innovative and sincere customer service, the STSPB staff will
continuously build a new era for Taiwan’s science and technology field with all
our partners at the STSP, to continue developing for another exciting 20 years
and beyond.
