R&D Cultivation
Subsidized Talent Cultivation Courses
The “Talent Cultivation Subsidy Program” was continuously implemented to
encourage module courses offered by schools to link up with industries. In
2017, 17 applications were received and NTD 9 million was subsidized to
benefit more than 1,000 trainees.
Professional Empowerment for STSP Practitioners
“Professional and Technical Talent Training and the Project for the
Promotion of Industry-Academia Cooperation” were continuously
▌Seminar on the STSP On-line learning Platform for 2017 Talent Cultivation (August 10, 2017) implemented in 2017, which was the year of flipped talent training. Most
face-to-face classes were gradually replaced by online classes. . The
STSP online learning platform was set up to provide 280-hours of training
for 1,211 trainees. There were six seminars on industry trends and
advanced technologies which were participated in by 947 attendees.
There were two technology exchange and match meetings for
academia, industries, and research institutions in interdisciplinary fields
such as nano - technology, new materials, and smart medical care.
Advanced Research, Industry-Academia Cooperation,
and Result Sharing
▌Exchange and Matching Meeting for the Industry and Academia on Nano Technology and
New Materials (February 16, 2017) The “STSP R&D Advanced Industry-Academia Cooperation Program”
was implemented to encourage Park enterprises to work with
academia and research institutions for innovative R&D. In 2016, 23
applications were received and NTD 33 million was subsidized. Park
enterprises invested NTD 50.74 million via self- funding and hired 100
R&D staff. The STSP facilitated two technology transfer projects and
29 PhDs and masters were cultivated.
In 2017, a “Demonstration for Achievements in 2016” was organized
by inviting teams with outstanding performance records in 2016 to
share their experiences in order to benefit more Park enterprises.
Additionally, in coordination with governmental policies on the
promotion smart manufacturing and smart robot industry, the STSPB
▌Keynote Speech on Smart Manufacturing (October 27, 2017) invited experts to give relevant lectures.
MOU Signing with Emergo Taiwan Limited and Quintile;
Organizing Medical Device Forums
In order to assist the STSP Park enterprises to expand their
international markets, on February 17, 2017 the STSPB signed MOUs
with the contracted research organization (CRO) of Emergo Taiwan
Limited and Quintile. On the same day, the STSPB also organized the
forum for “Sharing of Legal Practices in South East Asia and Mainland
China” by inviting experts to give talks for Park enterprises which aim to

Great Taipei Dental Supplies Show - STSP Medical Device
Technology Matching Meeting
On February 18 and 19, the STSPB, Taipei Dental Association, and New
Taipei City Dental Association jointly organized the “Great Taipei Dental
Show: Digital Implants in the STSP, and the Dental Show in Taipei and New
Taipei City.” The forum invites ten Park enterprises to take part. In addition to
product development displays, famous lecturers were invited to discuss the
current status of dental medical devices in Taiwan and their future prospects
with the goal of encouraging dentists to use products made in Taiwan to help
▌Discussion on Current Status and Future Prospects of Taiwan Dental Supply STSP medical devices take more domestic market shares.
