Message by the Director-General

In 2016, the STSP created over 800 billion NTD in business revenue. Thanks to all our
partners in the park and the staff’s help , allowing the STSP to achieve this success.
In 2017, the STSP will work with the Industrial Innovation Policy of Executive Yuan
and integrate regional characteristics to develop green energy industries, advance the
precision machinery industry, revolutionize the medical device industry, establish an
academia-industry coalition to strengthen southern Taiwan’s aerospace industry, etc. in
order to create a new era of high-tech industry in southern Taiwan.

In addition,

Our “innovative startups” have already yielded great results on the foundations set by
the Ministry of Science and Technology's “From IP to IPO” program. In the future, we
will continue to lead start up teams to expand, develop, and complete the Maker Space
which will stimulate creativity, promote a problem solving platform to help industry
innovate and connect the Silicon Valley of Asia to create a high-quality environment
for Taiwanese innovators.

Our “industrial clusters”: our semiconductor and photoelectric clusters have already
been formed, while our green energy low carbon industries are developing steadily. In
the future, we will also use the foundations set by the precision aerospace machinery
industry to promote localized facilities, implement localization of technology, and
strengthen the cluster’s integrity to increase our ability to compete.

Our “environmental friendliness” has earned honors for its sustainability: a gold medal
from the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy’s Top 50 Corporate Sustainability
Report, a Social Inclusion Award, and a Green Renewable Company Award from the
British Standards Institution. we will continue to create a sustainable park.
Everyone at the management office will continue to enthusiastically serve our partners
in the science park so that we may reach for higher peaks together.
